The Best Homemade Caesar Salad Recipe
Just in case you didn't know, my husband was a chef in his past life. You can read a little bit more about that here. We used to own a restaurant and his brother taught him how to cook over the course of about 12-15 years. He actually hired me as a hostess right after I moved back to St. George from being a nanny in Connecticut...and the rest is history. wink wink. Anyway, for my first recipe post on Love Utah Life, I thought we would share one of our favorite dinner recipes, the best homemade Caesar salad recipe ever!
This Caesar recipe is super rich with flavor! If you serve it with chicken or another type of meat, it's a full meal in itself. If you like a mild Caesar taste, you probably won't like this recipe. But if you like a hearty, garlicky, spicy, authentic Caesar salad, you will love this recipe! It's also super simple to put together--the hardest part is peeling the garlic and BBQ'ing the chicken (if you do chicken.) But the dressing is super quick and easy and it tastes so good on a Caesar pita wrap too! Or you could do it on a good ciabatta bun with a chicken sandwich. We like to make extra so we have some leftover to use throughout the week...it's so satisfying...especially with a glass of good cabernet! You're probably supposed to drink it with a white wine but I always go red. It would be delicious with Jason's Chicken Pesto Pasta which we are planning on making soon so stay tuned!
